There are many veteran charities that the biker community supports. All of them are much needed for those who have served, but none are quite like the Freedom Fest every June. In 2014, 89 Industries and Freedom Fest LLC was founded on the belief that “Freedom is Not Free.” Founder Dean Gary sought to make a difference and discovered an amazing charity called American Soldier Network. Their founder, Annie Nelson, has dedicated her life to helping our service men and women. [Read more…] about Freedom Fest 2018

Ramon Sepulveda Fundraiser
By: Susan “Bubbles” Udero
On March 18, 2018, Ramon Sepulveda was out riding with friends, and it was a beautiful Colorado day. Then, in the blink of an eye, a car pulled out in front of him. Ramon woke up in the hospital, and his world would be forever changed. Ramon lost his right arm and his left arm was shattered. Ramon’s positive spirit, given the challenges he is facing, is nothing short of miracle. His love for life and the hope that he will ride again are a testament to the spirit of a motorcycle rider … no matter what you ride. [Read more…] about Ramon Sepulveda Fundraiser
BikerDown Hosts Accident Scene Management Classes
Littleton, CO — On Saturday, March 24th and Sunday, March 25th, BikerDown hosted classes for Accident Scene Management to dozens of area riders to better prepare them should they ever witness an accident. As we know, with Colorado’s dismal statistics for biker fatalities, these classes are desperately needed.
The training sessions were presented by Accident Scene Management, Inc. and our teachers for the day, were certified instructors and medical professionals: Vicki “Spitfire” Sanfelipo, RN/EMT and Don Enninga, EMT-I. Each day of training was a full 8-hours jam packed with gritty and vital information about what can happen at the scene of a motorcycle accident.
The event was sponsored by The O’Sullivan Law Firm which drastically reduced the prices for those who attended. Said Scott O’Sullivan who also attended the sessions, “It is incredibly important that riders everywhere know everything they can should they see another rider go down. I have never had a case where a rider wasn’t severely injured. The more people who know what to do when the worst happens, the better!”
Other gracious sponsors included Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson, Peak Honda World, and Colorado Rider News.
“We now have 50 more riders out there who know how to secure the scene and render aid until EMT or paramedics can get there. This is what BikerDown is all about!” said Laurie Montoya, BikerDown Founder.

2017: Annual Toy Run for Children’s Hospital
32 Years of Giving
Thirty two years ago a small group of guys who got together on Sundays to ride motorcycles decided to buy some toys and take them to the kids at Children’s Hospital. Now all these years later motorcyclists from all over the state of Colorado meet to ride to the Children’s Hospital in an escorted parade to deliver toys to the kids who are there. This day has become one of the most important days to not only current patients at Children’s but former ones as well as the staff of this very prestigious hospital. If you ask any of the participants they will unanimously agree it is the reason for the holiday season and many leave the hospital that day thankful for the experience!
