April 3, 2019 By Scott O'Sullivan Leave a Comment

Scott O’Sullivan

Everyone who rides a motorcycle on our roads should be prepared with some basic supplies in case they ever become injured or stranded. But, while it’s easy to pack a bunch of first aid supplies and emergency gear into a car, bikers have to downsize a lot, which is hard!

6th Annual Look Twice Save a Life

April 3, 2019 By Laurie Montoya Leave a Comment

It is a well-known fact that the general public doesn’t watch for motorcycles no matter how many billboards CDOT puts up or lighted signs that are only up a few days in May or in August during Sturgis. It is a well-known fact that most motorcycle accidents involve a car and/or some sort of distracted driving. Our riding community continues to be the victim of irresponsible drivers who are out driving with no driver’s license and little to no insurance and driver’s leaving accident victims on the ground and leaving the scene.

Mary’s Home – Ride the Dream Charity Run

By: Russ Young, Whitehorse Ministry

Poverty is a deeply rooted issue. Generation after generation of families are stuck in the cycle of poverty, and don’t have a path to break the cycle. When young moms in poverty find themselves in crisis, they have no support system to turn to and often end up on the streets.

Huge crowd comes out for Military Appreciation Night

April 3, 2019 By Colorado Rider News Leave a Comment

By: Chomper Montoya

For several months Colorado Rider News promoted the Colorado Mammoth’s Military Appreciation Night. My father- in-law is a Vietnam veteran, as well as my son-in-law is active military and I don’t think there is ever enough military appreciation nights. Well the Mammoth and Pepsi center knows how to honor their military and throw a party. Even if you weren’t a fan of Lacrosse or had never been to a Mammoth game, it was a fun filled evening of entertainment and fast- moving Lacrosse.

Deaf Motorcycle Riders

April 3, 2019 By Colorado Rider News Leave a Comment

By: Stormy

Last month I covered hearing and tinnitus and the damage loud noises can have on your hearing.

This month, I had the pleasure of riding with Will and Marie Cornell last season. They are both deaf, and they love to ride. Will brought his other friends who were also deaf to a Cool Biker Lunch and Ride event. They are all fun people; although it was a little difficult to communicate with them, we all seemingly understood each other. They use the American Sign Language (ASL) and some can talk.
