If Your Friend Goes Down, Could You Help?

May 2, 2019 By Scott O'Sullivan Leave a Comment

When I founded Rider Justice, I had many goals but, first and foremost, I want to make it safer for bikers to ride! We accomplish this through several efforts, including legislative advocacy (let’s end texting and driving!), and also by helping riders make sure they have the right motorcycle insurance (auto drivers don’t carry enough to cover the injuries they cause).

6th Annual Look Twice Save a Life

May 2, 2019 By Laurie Montoya Leave a Comment

There is rarely a weekend in Colorado’s riding season that riders don’t ride for a good charity or cause. Motorcycle riders have always been the go-to group when a charity needs assistance. At the same time, our community also suffers an epidemic of motorcycle accidents and fatalities and the community outside of ours, rarely steps up to help us.

Rider’s Road to Recovery

May 2, 2019 By Colorado Rider News Leave a Comment

By: Stormy

Motorcycle riders are a group of people that seem to have more friends suffer tragedy than just about any other group of friends. I am reminded this month of May, that it is Motorcycle Awareness Month. I decided this issue that I wanted to tell the riding community about my friend Jacqueline “Jaxx” Tabcum. Jaxx is an inspiration to me and has touched so many lives over the past 5 years with how she deals with tragedy and comes out on the other side stronger and more resolved.

Accident Scene Management Class

May 2, 2019 By Colorado Rider News Leave a Comment

Are you prepared in the event of a motorcycle accident?

By: Stormy

As a rider who has rode for many years, I have seen my share of friends having accidents. In April, I decided to attend an Accident Scene Management class hosted by BikerDown and Rider Justice, and Executive Director Laurie Montoya asked me to give a rider’s perspective of what I learned in the class. Boy did I learn a lot.

Women’s World Record Attempt

May 2, 2019 By Colorado Rider News Leave a Comment

By: Stormy

When I heard that local Colorado women riders were determined to be in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2019 for having the most women riders on one ride, I had to meet the person behind this vision.  Susan Udero talked to me about her inspiration of organizing this world record attempt in Colorado and how she planned to make this happen.
