Honoring Our Military

June 5, 2019 By Laurie Montoya Leave a Comment

This issue will focus a lot on veterans and their upcoming events up in June. The Freedom Fest, Brotherhood of Veterans, Combat Vets and many more have events that will help our veterans with hands on services and boots on the ground assistance here in Colorado. It has always been my policy to donate and support charities that help actual residents and not send my funds to a charity outside of my local community.

Freedom Fest 2019

June 5, 2019 By Colorado Rider News Leave a Comment

By Dean Gary, Freedom Fest Founder

Colorado Freedom Festival is here again June 29th at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. It will be our 5th year! Without the loyal support of the Freedom Fest Family this could never happen. I can’t express my gratitude to our all of you for coming together to celebrate our Nation’s Heroes.

Molly Hatchet Concert Rocked!

June 5, 2019 By Colorado Rider News Leave a Comment

By: Chomper Montoya

If you are a motorcycle rider who visits Dirty Dogs Roadhouse as much as I do, you surely have to agree that the continued transformation of Dirty Dogs is nothing short of miraculous. Last weekend over Memorial Day weekend, I watched as Mark, Rob and the DD team transformed our local biker bar into a concert venue the likes of which this community hasn’t seen here in Denver at the biker bar level.

June 5, 2019 By Scott O'Sullivan Leave a Comment

“I grew up playing Punch Buggy or Slug Bug, punching my sibling every time we spotted a VW bug,” says Scott O’Sullivan, founder of Rider Justice and owner of The O’Sullivan Law Firm. “I’ve always wanted to create a game for kids that raised awareness of motorcyclists and even bicyclists on the road.”

6th Annual Look Twice Save a Life

June 5, 2019 By Laurie Montoya Leave a Comment

Colorado and mother nature being the way they are… you just never know what you are going to get every year for the BikerDown’s Look Twice Save a Life ride, but still the riders always say they wouldn’t miss this ride! The road captains were on messenger daily trying to alter their ride in the event of rain, hail or snow. Registrations were up this year and BikerDown had over 100 riders pre-register and we had an additional 50 riders register at Avalanche Harley-Davidson in Golden.

Whitehorse Riders Hosts Ride the Dream Ride in Las Vegas

June 5, 2019 By Laurie Montoya Leave a Comment

A small local motorcycle ministry from Monument, Colorado is hitting the national riding event stage on June 21st in Las Vegas, Nevada. Russ Young is the leader of this Colorado group and this ride has been in his spirit for a number of years. As the President of the BikerDown Foundation, Russ and his ministry of riders have been assisting BikerDown thru biker advocacy and our adopt-a-family holidays program for the past 4 years. Whitehorse Riders have shown me their commitment to spreading the word of God and going out and helping others that desperately need assistance.
