2018 RMHD Turkey Run
This year marks the 38th year that Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson has put on an annual ride the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This motorcycle ride has, for over three decades, seen all types of weather, riders, and routes for a basic poker run. The main difference is that over all these years, almost 2,000 frozen birds have been awarded for participants’ Thanksgiving dinners! BikerDown: Toy Run Breakfast in the Park
This will be the 7th year that BikerDown will host Breakfast In the Park at Aurora Sports Park the morning of the Toy Run.
Volunteers will arrive at 7:30 am and breakfast begins at 8 am sharp. This has become a tradition in the morning and gives the riders a place to socialize, wake up and get in line early so they can be at the start of the parade. Mile High Sisters of Colorado is a ladies’ motorcycle group in the Denver area. This group was developed because there seemingly were no other local groups that hosted rides. The other groups were more meeting and socializing at bars and talking about riding.
After receiving her motorcycle endorsement, the founder of Mile High Sisters also known as Road Queen just wanted to ride, ride, and ride! This is one badass lady. She chose riding her motorcycle over her husband, and this inevitably ended the marriage. This is something you would hear men doing, so hearing this blew my mind. BikerDown is in our 7th year of Adopting Families for the Holidays program. The program started with the desire to help 2 families that has suffered a tragic loss due to a motorcycle fatality.
