6th Annual Look Twice Save a Life

June 5, 2019 By Laurie Montoya Leave a Comment

Colorado and mother nature being the way they are… you just never know what you are going to get every year for the BikerDown’s Look Twice Save a Life ride, but still the riders always say they wouldn’t miss this ride! The road captains were on messenger daily trying to alter their ride in the event of rain, hail or snow. Registrations were up this year and BikerDown had over 100 riders pre-register and we had an additional 50 riders register at Avalanche Harley-Davidson in Golden.

Whitehorse Riders Hosts Ride the Dream Ride in Las Vegas

June 5, 2019 By Laurie Montoya Leave a Comment

A small local motorcycle ministry from Monument, Colorado is hitting the national riding event stage on June 21st in Las Vegas, Nevada. Russ Young is the leader of this Colorado group and this ride has been in his spirit for a number of years. As the President of the BikerDown Foundation, Russ and his ministry of riders have been assisting BikerDown thru biker advocacy and our adopt-a-family holidays program for the past 4 years. Whitehorse Riders have shown me their commitment to spreading the word of God and going out and helping others that desperately need assistance.

6th Annual Look Twice Save a Life

April 3, 2019 By Laurie Montoya Leave a Comment

It is a well-known fact that the general public doesn’t watch for motorcycles no matter how many billboards CDOT puts up or lighted signs that are only up a few days in May or in August during Sturgis. It is a well-known fact that most motorcycle accidents involve a car and/or some sort of distracted driving. Our riding community continues to be the victim of irresponsible drivers who are out driving with no driver’s license and little to no insurance and driver’s leaving accident victims on the ground and leaving the scene.

Winter is Still with us!

March 12, 2019 By Laurie Montoya Leave a Comment

Well, last month, it appeared that Spring was going to come much earlier than normal, but alas, Mother Nature never disappoints here in Colorado. The snow arrived with bitter cold winds and shows us again who is in charge, and how unpredictable the weather can be. Even Nevada and Arizona weathered unprecedented storms and towns like Las Vegas and Flagstaff were blanketed with inches of snow. [Read more…] about Winter is Still with us!
